Prices are up at Riverwalk, and about a third of the available condominium apartments have been sold, according to residents who have bought or are considering a purchase. The "from" price of a studio apartment has advanced to $285,000 from the original $220,000, and three-bedroom units now start at $900,000, up from $695,000. David Kramer of the Hudson Companies told The WIRE, "We're slowly making our way through the list of prospective buyers who left messages with us, and there's a limit to the number of appointments we can accommodate each day. There have been a few price amendments since we started." One buyer told The WIRE that the sellers are giving shoppers about five days to make a decision, and are requiring a ten percent deposit, which is subject to forfeit if the buyer is unable to arrange financing when it's time for occupancy. He said the 800-page offering plan specifies that the building has a 20-year tax abatement, which is apparently helping to keep monthly charges low. Details are available on the website dedicated to the building, www.riverwalknyc.com. For an appointment or information by telephone, the number is 212-754-0455.
