Assemblymember
Pete Grannis and Rep. Carolyn Maloney, both Democrats, spoke Tuesday
evening at a pre-election rally on the Island. Both are candidates
for re-election; Jessica Lappin (left) also spoke, standing in for
City Council Speaker Gifford Miller, whose Council seat she's expected
to seek next year. Maloney's Republican opponent, Anton Srdanovic
(inset), also asked for the votes of residents. Just short of 100
attended.
