Sari Dickson has been named RIOC Vice President for Operations, at $88,000 a year, in the position vacated early last year by Robert Antonek.  She had been on loan from, with salary paid by, DHCR.

Event producers are being sought by RIOC for the annual Fourth of July fireworks at Southpoint Park, and for other events on the Island.  The details are on the RIOC website at http://www.rioc.com/proposal.html.

RIOC will pay the New York Power Authority some $500,000 for power consumed in the vacant minischools over a period of a dozen years.  At last week’s Board meeting, RIOC President Berman explained that pipes had not been drained and power was consumed for heat and safety lighting.  The bill had been set aside, unpaid.
