Assault 3/31, lobby, 625 Main St. Officer received a call regarding a dispute in lobby. Four officers responded, upon arrival they saw a resident female with an open cut in center of head. Male stated that a resident female with approximately ten other perps entered the lobby and proceeded to assault her. Victim stated the perp had struck her with unknown object, which caused a large cut on her head; 911 notified, NYPD and EMS responded, transported victim to Elmhurst Hospital. Officers searched the Island for perps with negative results. Victim stated that main perps brother, and other females (whom she described) had punched and kicked her. Burglary 3/19, trailer, 300 Main St. Tram employee reported burglary to PSD, stated four portables were missing. Subsequently it was discovered that five radios with total value of $3,000, one pair of binoculars worth $80, a set of keys was also missing. Unknown person(s) shattered front/rear door of trailer, entering via rear door. NYPD responded, prepared report. Trespass 3/25, school, 585 Main St. RIOC employee radioed PSD to have officers respond to Island House school, because hed found two open windows. They searched for a perp with negative results. However, they found several items. Facilities supervisor was notified to secure windows. There were signs on windows of tampering. Criminal Mischief 3/20, Q-4 stairwell, 560 Main St. While officer was patrolling he observed a shattered light bulb in Q-4 stairwell. He searched area with negative results. 3/22, P-1 stairwell., 560 Main St. Officer noticed shattered bulb at scene, notified RIHM service, searched area with negative results. 3/25, mailbox, 546 Main St. Female informed officer about a mailbox missing door. Another resident informed officer that door had been missing since 3/23. RIHM Asst. Mgr. was notified. Post Office Station Manager was notified, and asked to hold the mail until box is repaired. 3/27, bus garage, 684 Main St. Officer responded to bus garage for report that one of RIOCs red pickups window was shattered. Officer checked inside, there were no rocks and no other damage to truck. All other vehicles were in order. 3/28, hallway, 510 Main St. Officer observed graffiti with racial connotations. D.O. notified NYPD, Sgt. stated it was not a bias crime. RIHM super to erase graffiti. 3/29, laundry room, 576 Main St. Sgt. and officer responded to laundry room, RIHM porter at scene and stated that earlier all had been in order. Upon returning later, he noticed holes in all the walls, footprints on top of machines. Officers searched area with negative results. RIHM lobby video will be retrieved. Harassment 3/22, lobby, 546 Main St. Female senior in-house, complained that a female senior approached her demanding loudly about her whereabouts. Complainant stated she only knows her from bldg. Sgt. ascertained from tenants list name of perp, ultimately contacted her and she stated she did not mean to harass victim. Seniors social worker advised perp to stay away from complainant. 3/26, apt., 580 Main St., Aggravated. Officer responded to scene with NYPD for report of person trying to break down an apt. door. Upon their arrival perp was gone. Victim stated ex-boyfriend, with whom she has a child, has been harassing via phone, leaving multiple phone messages. He had come to apt., knocking on the door. Search was made for him with negative results. NYPD prepared report. 3/31, lobby, 625 Main St. While officer was en-route to scene for a dispute call, he was approached by female resident who stated that her daughter, the victim, had been harassed by another resident female who threatened her and used profanity as well. The confrontation emanated from an earlier incident that had occurred at the concierges station involving another party. Fire 3/23, laundry, 2, 625 Main St. RIHM super entered PSD, stated there was a fire at scene, which concierge had extinguished. Dryer #7 had been on fire. Super, Sgt. and officers responded, cleared second-floor area, checking all apartments to ascertain tenants safety. FDNY responded, reported it had been an electrical fire. RIHM Mgr. at scene. All was in order. 3/24, sidewalk, 544 Main St. RIHM employee reported rubbish fire at scene, officer extinguished fire. There was no property damage, etc. 3/25, apt., 4 River Rd. Sgt. observed multiple fire engines at scene. Sgt. entered bldg., spoke to security guard, who had extinguished fire. There was no property damage. Car stop / investigation 3/27, street, 625 Main St. While stopped behind a vehicle going south-bound, which was waiting for school bus heading north-bound with flashing lights to proceed, a red minivan going north-bound blew past the school bus. Officer pursued the van, motioned driver to pull over, which driver refused to do. Officer put police vehicle in front of van, another officer pulled his vehicle to assist. When officer approached the van the woman wanted to know why she was being stopped. She was informed she had gone past a school bus with flashing lights, and refused to produce her license. She refused, stating she would do so when 114th Pct. officers arrived. Two PSD Sgts. approached the female and she then acceded to give the officer her drivers license. Officer then approached the school bus driver and obtained a written statement. Van driver was issued a summons. Found property 3/27, sidewalk, 595/552 Main St. Anonymous female in-house with UN ID card that shed found. Card did not contain any information other than name of male owner, UN ID card number. Sgt. contacted UN security officer who advised the card be turned over to U.S. Postal Service and they should mail card to address given. Sgt. turned card over to Post Office Manager. Graffiti 3/24, A-4, J-4, 510/540 Main St. Officer observed graffiti at scene, checked other stairwells with negative results. 3/26, 4-J, 546 Main St. Officer observed graffiti at scene, checked area with negative results. Investigation 3/19, rooftop, 540 Main St. Officer responded to alarm sounding at roof top, met RIHM super there. Apparently a resident had been on roof walking his dog, setting off alarm. Officer, super responded to tenants apartment, informed him he is not authorized on the roof. Matter will be referred to RIHM Management. Super secured door, reset alarm. Lost property 3/20, RIOC Bus, Main St. Female informed officer that she had lost a credit card while riding in a RIOC bus on Main St. and did not know the bus number, but that it stayed on the Island. Officer checked bus #2, Supervisor checked #3, which had arrived at garage, both with negative results. Victim will notify credit card company. She refused NYPD. Smoke condition 3/18, apt., 560 Main St. Officer responded to location for smoke condition. Upon arrival, RIHM super was at scene opening hallway windows to disperse the smoke. The home attendant at the apt. stated she was cooking and food burned. There were no injuries. 3/28, street, 645 Main St. Officer observed a large cloud of smoke emanating from a #102 bus, called for assistance. Driver of bus informed officer he did not know what had caused it to happen. The automatic emergency chemical extinguisher put out fire. FDNY responded. There were no passengers on board, no injuries occurred, EMS was refused. Unsecured premises 3/30, rear door, 543 Main St. Officer noticed Good Shepherds rear door open, requested other officers, who responded, searched the Church with negative results. Chapel was locked and secured. Vehicle accident 3/24, street, 559 Main St. Female resident informed officer she was parking vehicle and accidentally struck a bumper on an unoccupied parked vehicle, causing some scratches on same and also on her own. Reporter refused EMS. Reporter stated she would contact NYPD and report accident to her insurance company. 3/27, street, 200 Main St. Goldwater police informed PSD desk officer of an accident on West Drive. Three officers responded, found vehicle in center of street with damaged front fender and grill. It had struck a light pole on the right sidewalk. Driver suffered cut over left eye. When EMS arrived driver refused medical attention. Driver had no license and was brought to PSD. FDNY was advised, responded, hosed down street. Drivers employer responded and was issued two summonses, one for allowing un-licensed operator and one for un-insured vehicle. Driver was issued summons for operating vehicle with no license. NYPD arrived, prepared report. Vehicle was towed. 3/29, street, 501 Main St. While male was leaving parking space, his vehicle lightly scratched another car, the owner of which refused to have it recorded, refused NYPD, etc. Both individuals left scene.
