Criminal Mischief 3/3, hallway, 546 Main St. While on patrol, officer observed a shattered glass door in 4th-floor hallway. He notified service employee, who stated it would be replaced the next morning. 3/4, 688 Main St. Grand Larceny Officer responded to scene, victim reported vehicle tampering, stated rear door of pickup had not been locked and that a 250-pound tool box with contents, worth an estimated value of over $1,000, had been taken, as well as a CD player and a CD valued at $120. Passenger-side window of truck was broken into. Victim refused NYPD. Victim was on way to have door lock repaired. 3/10, apt., 4 River Rd. Male reported damage to his bed in his private room, which officer confirmed upon his arrival at apt. Officer inquired as to who lived in apt. besides him, the man replied his wife and two children. Victim requested NYPD. 3/14, sun room, 546 Main St. While on patrol, officer observed a shattered window at scene, broken glass was on the floor inside and door was secured. Duty Officer was notified, and RIHM maintenance personnel. No report of any injuries. Officer searched area with negative results. Larceny 3/4, 688 Main St. Victim informed officer that unknown person(s) had broken into his vehicle and taken radar detector valued at $150, CB radio/ antenna approx. total value of $260, Expert First Aid kit $120, 2 hand-free phone kits valued at $100 and 3D cell mag lights. Officer found windows and locks intact. Victim stated he would notify NYPD. Fire 3/14, apt., 531 Main St. While patrolling, officer observed FDNY responding, notified Duty Officer and responded to scene to apt., and learned victim had been cooking, stove caught on fire. It was extinguished by FDNY. Only stove sustained damage, no injuries reported. Rivercross maintenance personnel at scene. Aggravated Harassment 3/9, apt., 560 Main St. Male in-house, stated that female resident has been calling him repeatedly both at his cellular and land line telephone for a total of nine times. Victim stated he would contact NYPD. Alarm Condition 3/3, apt., 30 River Rd. Several officers responded to scene. Concierge stated alarm was sounding in an apt. Tenant not at home. Manhattan Park super responded with key. He and officers entered apt., searched the premises with negative results. All appeared in order. Dispute 3/1, lobby, 10 River Rd. Several officers responded to scene of verbal dispute between two residents. Tenant #1 stated that tenant #2s children make noise all the time, including late into the night. Tenant #2 stated that they were having carpeting installed next week. Both residents were advised to contact concierge in the future, instead of a vis-a-vis dispute in lobby. 3/8, apt., 4 River Rd. Officer responded to scene, female victim said she and her boy- friend had had dispute. Male victim went to the lobby, saying he did not want any problems and left, after showing proper ID. There were no injuries. 3/13, hallway, 580 Main St. Unknown female in-house, complained she had been cursed at by some youths at scene, and left refusing to identify herself. Upon arrival, officer saw the female speaking with persons in an apt. on 4th floor, whom she identified to officer as those who had cursed at her. But the female left without giving further ID information. A male youth provided ID and said the female had cursed at him first. Officer escorted him to PSD and advised him not to conduct himself in that manner again. 3/15, elevator, 560 Main St. Female youth in-house, said anonymous female had cursed and threatened and accused her for elevator door opening twice. However youth did not specify how the woman had threatened her. Anonymous female then came to PSD, stated youth was playing with elevator and she just asked her to stop playing. The youth then started yelling and cursing at her. She did say that the youth always speaks disrespectfully to her. Anonymous female refused NYPD. Found Property 3/12, street, 591 Main St. RIOC maintenance employee in-house, turned over one black Spr. Quai Comm. dual band cellular phone. Sgt. contacted customer-service operator, who will contact the owner. Phone is secured at PSD. Graffiti 3/17, Q roof landing, 560 Main St. Officer observed graffiti at scene, checked for more graffiti with negative results. Intoxicated Male 3/4, RIHM, 552 Main St. RIHM Asst. Mgr. requested that intoxicated male be escorted from their office. Officer responded and man left the office without incident. Investigation 3/1, dance studio, 548 Main St. Female in-house, complained that three underage female youths (who are not enrolled in dance studio classes) are constantly disrupting the dance classes. The youths become irate when they are asked to leave the premises, and they throw objects around. Victim requested that PSDs Y.O. speak with the youths parents. 3/6, subway emergency exit, 400 Main St. NYPD Arrest, Off Island. Sgt. responded to scene for Transit Police response and officer advised him he had arrested unknown homeless male for trespassing into NYCTA emergency exit. T.A. Superintendent on scene and stated perp. would also be charged with Resisting Arrest. 3/8, hardware store, 544 Main St. Officer responded to hardware store for report by owner of an attempted robbery. Victim stated that three unknown males entered the store and announced a þstick up.þ They then walked to the DVD movie section. One of the youths took some movies, which he returned at victims request and left the store. Officers searched area with negative results. PSD Sgt. at scene. NYPD prepared report. 3/10, side entrance, 551 Main St. Male phoned PSD, stated that, as he was entering the side door to the building, unknown person had doused his coat with unknown substance that was thrown from unknown aptartment. The substance faded his coat slightly. NYPD refused. Lost Property 3/17, PSD, 552 Main St. Male resident in-house, stated he wanted to speak with one of our officers. Sergeant at scene, listened when male stated he had lost a diamond ring valued at $600 when he visited at an undisclosed date, at which the officer supervised. PSDs cabinet where items are secured was checked with negative results. Missing Property 3/16, street, 8 River Rd. Male in-house, stated that on 3/7 hed left a small green bicycle and on 3/7 a small blue bicycle in front of 8 River Rd. and both were missing. Officers searched area. The 2/4 security guard reported he had the blue bicycle and a helmet, that had been retrieved from 8 River Rd. An officer brought same to PSD. Officers did not find the green bicycle. Owner retrieved the blue bicycle at PSD. Noise Complaints 3/16, 500 Main St. Sgt. and officers responded to scene for numerous noise complaints. Upon arrival they advised the church people to lower their sound system which was too loud. They complied. Rivercross residents were not satisfied and called NYPD. NYPD officer requested a noise meter, but when it arrived the service was over. Property Damage 3/6/02, 505 Main St. While officer was on patrol, he observed a vertical crack in window near Exit D, and informed concierge. Reckless Endangerment 3/1, street, 555 Main St. Female resident in-house, reported three youths lingering in front of Island House and one of them screamed at her. While victim was walking away, unknown youth threw a broken cellular phone at her striking her in the back. Female could not ID the youths. Officers searched area with negative results. Victim refused NYPD, EMS. 3/15, breezeway, 510 Main St. While officer was on patrol, officer admonished driver of illegally parked vehicle. Officer then observed rocks hitting vehicle #4, but could not ascertain from where they were emanating. Another officer checked 4th, 7th floors and the roof with negative results. The vehicle incurred a small dent on the trunk. Smoke Condition 3/1, apt., 540 Main St. Officer responded to scene for smoke condition. Upon arrival, he observed burned food in a pot on stove. There was no property damage. Unsecured Premises 3/3, 506 Main St. Officer saw NYPD at Youth Center responding to alarm sounding. NYPD conducted a search with negative results. PSD officers conducted a search as well with the same results. Youth Center Director approached officers, stated he had been in the center using the facilities, and had neglected to deactivate the alarm. Vehicle Accident 3/1, adjacent to 10 River Rd. Officer observed an SUV strike a stop sign, knocking it to the ground. Vehicle sustained minor damage. Driver showed all relevant documents. NYPD was refused, there were no injuries reported. RIOC maintenance to be informed. 3/12, street, 549 Main St., Hit and Run. Female in-house, stated her vehicle had been parked when a burgundy vehicle struck hers, dislodged the left drivers side mirror, and left the scene. She was only able to identify the first three digits of the license plate. A Sgt. and an officer searched the south sector with reporter. She identified a parked vehicle with a license plate containing the three digits she had previously mentioned. NYPD responded, prepared report and made license plate check, a non-resident Queens females name came up. NYPD 114th Pct. also conducted a search with owner of struck vehicle. They checked Goldwater, but burgundy vehicles driver is not employed there; the motorist was not at Sportspark nor at the Tennis Bubble.
