The Landmarks Committee of Community Board 8 "takes very seriously" the deteriorated condition of Blackwell House, according to Historical Society President Judith Berdy, who attended a meeting of the committee Monday night.

Berdy said CB8 will adopt a "scathing resolution," appalled that RIOC has not reached out for sources of funding beyond a State grant, which was denied last year.  CB8 will call for the State and the City to work together to find ways of addressing the deterioration, which has continued for several years.
