Changes in Subway Service for Roosevelt Island and Queens
locations will be the subject of an MTA hearing Tuesday, January
23, 6:00 p.m., at Long Island City High School, 14-30
Broadway.
The Historical Society is seeking volunteer Island guides to
be trained to escort visitors – groups and individuals
– who come to the Island in numbers greater than the
present cadre of guides can handle. E-mail RIHS at

There's a Seniors Half-Fare reimbursement program now available for seniors who can't take
public transportation and use a taxi or car service for medical appointments, according to Senior
Center Program Director Selina Ng. The number to call for details: 980-1888.
