RIOC is bringing back its Summer Sounds series of free concerts, starting Wednesday evening.

The events will be offered every Wednesday evening. 6:00 to 7:30, on the Promenade Pier near the subway station. RIOC President Robert H. Ryan said the number of concerts will be doubled this year, from six to 12.

"This is a great community event with something for everyone to enjoy. We are anticipating great music and beautiful weather all set on a stunning waterfront stage." said Ryan. The series will extend through August 30, with the first half of the summer featuring:
